THRE MOST COMMON QUESTIONS I’M GETTING FROM PEOPLE WHO ARE INTERESTED IN CREATING A Blog/website: How much time does Blog/website creating? Following these instructions will likely take less than 30 minutes. However, choosing a domain name and the Blog/website’s theme (which determines how it looks) could take a while if you don’t yet know what you want them to be. Lastly, creating quality content that your potential readers want to read can take even more time. For example, it took me more than 24 hours to put this piece of content together (including images and videos).

CAN I USE A BLOG/WEBSITE TO MAKE MONEY ONLINE?
Yes. Some successful bloggers, marketers make insane amounts of money ($60,000/mo* and above), and most of it is passive, too. There are endless ways to earn money with your Blog/website. Some folks are offering services, some using Google Adsense program, some are monetizing their Website with Amazon and some are just selling physical/digital items. But you can set up a blog/website for fun or as a hobby, too. That’s completely fine and many people are already doing it. I’ve helped to set up Blog/Website for a lot of writers who just want to become a better writer and have no intentions of making money online.

It doesn’t have to end with .com, so you can also use different endings (such as: .net, .org, or even .co.uk) if your first choice isn’t available to enter another domain name. If you already have a domain name (i.e., you bought it from somewhere else), use the second form on the right (“I Already Own This Domain”).

Now it’s time to choose your hosting package. There are three options: Hatchling (recommended), Baby, and Business. The Hatchling option is perfect for beginners. The visual appearance of your WordPress Blog/Website is controlled by themes. When you first visit your Blog/Website, it will look something like this:

This is not very appealing to most people. Customizing the look and feel of your Blog/Website is by far one of the most exciting and rewarding parts of the journey of creating your WordPress site. There are thousands of pre-made WordPress themes that you can install on your site. Some of them are free, while others are paid. You can change your theme by going to your WordPress dashboard and clicking on Appearance » Themes.

– If you are using WordPress without installing the plugin to create a cache for your website then you lose 50% efficiency in speeding up the website. WP Super Cache and W3 Total Cache are good plugins for WordPress, so I think you should install it on your site immediately if you do not already have one.

II. WAYS TO MAKE MONEY FROM YOUR BLOG/WEBSITE
Now that you’ve got your Blog/Website online, there’s just the small question of how to start making money from it! Today I’ll be introducing you to some of the best ways for anyone to monetize their Blog/Website, with plenty of practical tips and resources to get started from day one. But don’t chase them all at once! I strongly suggest picking one or two from this list that resonates with you and your website – and really FOCUS on them first. Let’s get started with my 19 ways you can monetize a website!

1. AFFILIATE PROMOTION
Being an affiliate means you promote a product or service to your Blog/Website visitors in return for earning a commission if a purchase occurs through your link. Join the Clickbank , Amazon, ShareASale to access thousands of affiliate programs, including major brands like Topshop, Domino’s and Zara. Then simply include an affiliate link (provided by the network) when mentioning products from your chosen partners on your Blog/Website.

2. BANNER AND DISPLAY ADVERTS
you can easily set up network adverts using Google Adsense or Media.net by copying and pasting the code into your site to create adverts that are relevant to a visitor’s recent internet search. Taboola is another increasingly popular service for bloggers monetizing their content. It works by displaying relevant articles (rather than banners) from advertisers on their network. These networks will pay you every time a visitor clicks on an advert (CPC) or per 1000 impressions (CPM). You can also sell banner ads directly to companies with a relevant product/service. This option can be much more profitable as you’ll set the rates yourself!

3. SELL TO EMAIL SUBSCRIBERS
The biggest regret I hear from bloggers is not starting an email list sooner. So get an account with AWeber from day one to capture your audience to communicate with them after they’ve left the site! You can then email them with recommended products that they may be interested in (affiliate promotion) and earn various commissions if they sign up or buy something.

4. TEXT LINK ADVERTISING
Sell basic text links to an advertiser’s Blog/Website(in-content advertising) and charge a fixed rate per month (eg. £20) or charge per click. There are plenty of marketplaces such as Backlinks.com to find buyers.

5. SPONSORED POSTS
This is an advert in the form of an article, usually containing the advertiser’s Blog/Website link. An advertiser may send you the article, but if you can write the content for them, you’ll be quids up as you can charge for your time too. You can earn £35 to £200 for a sponsored post, depending on your website’s popularity. Join blogger network groups on Facebook and share your Blog/Website, as that’s where the advertisers are looking!

6. PRODUCT REVIEWS
Get paid by companies for reviewing all sorts of products! Sign up with Toluna and SurveyBods from the start to receive the latest opportunities.

7. DIGITAL PRODUCTS
eBooks, printables, graphics, templates and podcasts are all examples of digital products that can help you earn a passive ongoing income from your site. You could charge around £2.99 for a 5000 word eBook and 20 eBook sales per month will soon add up! Check out the Envato Marketplace for lots of inspiration and ideas.

8. PHYSICAL PRODUCTS
Use your Blog/Website as a base to sell your own physical products too. For example, you can create designs for t-shirts or mugs with Sunfrog, Teespring. Or create handmade products to sell on eBay.

9. PREMIUM ARTICLES
If you can create incredibly useful content, you can earn from it. Let’s say you have a gaming website and you’re able to share some little known strategies in an article. You can hook the visitor in by sharing a few tips, then link to a password protected page (option within WordPress) for the valuable information. The reader gets the password to unlock the premium content once they’ve paid a fee to you via PayPal. Charge what you like, although £2 to £10 is a realistic price for a premium article.

10. BUSINESS DIRECTORY
Set up a business directory page, where companies pay you a set fee to have their business listed. You could charge a monthly or annual listing fee and charge £20 to £500 per year, depending on your site’s traffic levels.

11. MEMBERSHIP FORUM
Add a “members only” forum to your site through the use of free WordPress plugins like bbPress. You can monetize this by charging a regular subscription or one-off access fee. The amount you can earn depends on how much value you can create for forum members through networking and sharing tips.

12. ONLINE COURSE
Create an online course as an add-on for your Blog/Website. This is another type of paid premium content where visitors pay to access additional information. The course can be delivered automatically via AWeber to those who’ve paid and subscribed to their email address. You can also add it to Udemy to reach a wider customer base.

13. CREATE YOUR OWN AFFILIATE PROGRAM
Once you’ve created your own Blog/Website product(s) such as a course or eBook, you can create your own affiliate program and recruit affiliates to help spread the word. This can lead to more product sales and more traffic to your Blog/Website. It’s a win-win

14. ‘HIRE ME’ PAGE
When you start your own Blog/Website, you’ll develop some new skills that will help you earn money. Set up a “Hire Me” page and offer freelance blogging and writing services to start with. You can also offer these services via Upwork, a freelancing platform. A freelance writer can make £20 to £50 per hour.

15. ASK FOR DONATIONS
Add a simple PayPal donation button on your Blog/Website and ask people to donate a couple of quid (the equivalent of buying you a coffee!) if they like your content. If you don’t ask, you don’t get!

16. AMAZON STORE PAGE
You can easily add a separate Amazon store page to your website and recommend products that are relevant to your readers, earning 1% to 10% commission on product sales if they buy something. Sign up to Amazon’s affiliate program and use their store widget to create this.

17. YOUTUBE VIDEO CONTENT
Creating video content for your Blog/Website will not only help you to keep visitors entertained, it could earn you cash too. Monetise video content by uploading it to YouTube and setting up Google Adsense –Then embed your YouTube videos onto your blog. If your video goes viral, you can earn hundreds in ad revenue!

18. CONSULTING
If you’re an expert in a field, share your knowledge in return for an hourly consultancy fee. Advertise via your Blog/Website and deliver your expertise through monetized webinars and podcasts, or even a Skype call, where visitors pay upfront to benefit from your knowledge.

19. SELL YOUR BLOG/WEBSITE
Once you have a Blog/Website that’s already monetized and receiving good levels of traffic, you’ll have an asset! One that you can sell on a website like Flippa when the time is right. Expect to earn 6 to 10 times your Blog/Website monthly profit if you decide to sell.

We hope this article helped to give you plenty of ideas on how to start a Blog/Website, make money online using Blog/Website! With hard work and perseverance, anyone can earn money from their Blog/Website
